Yoga Nidra: Celebrating Samhain – October 26th
Join us in October for this enchanting practice to honour a spirited time of year, to walk through shadows, find deep relaxation and maybe some insight into what’s to come.
Our Yoga Nidra session begins with a few moments of gentle movement to release tension, then 40-45 minute yoga nidra. Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”. It’s practiced lying down & draws our attention inwards, as we begin to relax and drop through the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis) – the breath balances, becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into a state of deep, blissful relaxed awareness.
