Yoga Nidra ~May 24th “The Blooming Heart”
Our May Yoga Nidra is called The Blooming Heart. It is a combination of a visualization of a spring meadow and an adaptation of Deepak Chopra’s 7 step Meditation to Open the Heart. The will be a beautiful space to focus your mind and heart energy as we embrace and welcome the summer season.
Each Yoga Nidra session begins with a few moments of gentle movement to release tension, then 40-45 minute yoga nidra. Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”. It’s practiced lying down & draws our attention inwards, as we begin to relax and drop through the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis) – the breath balances, becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into a state of deep, blissful relaxed awareness.
You are registering for a Single Class Drop in for our next session – 4th Tuesday of the month at 7-8pm
